Announcing the breeding between Atreyu and Bea! Our main goal in producing a litter of Danish-Swedish Farmdogs is to preserve a breed which we find to be wonderful pets and sports companions. In choosing the pairing, we’ve considered first and foremost the temperament and health of the parents along with the Danish-Swedish Farmdog Club of America’s ethics for breeders. Both parents have extensive genetic testing showing them clear of any concerning genes, along with examinations of hips.
This breeding will increase the genetic diversity of the breed, honor dogs we love, fulfill commitments, and build relationships within our breed. The breeders of this litter will be Martha Tubman, Dae Grodin, and Monica Turner. Each puppy’s registered name will begin with Nordost.
Bea, Swallowfield Blessed Are They av Nordost CGC TKE VSWB, was born in Virginia and lives in Wyoming. She is descended from one of the first Farmdogs brought to the US from Denmark. She loves people and being petted and she insists on sleeping under the covers at night. She likes to use her brain by learning tricks and practicing agility and thrives on short training sessions. A bit shy as a pup, she’s matured into a confident, go-anywhere, kid-loving family dog. This will be her first litter.
Atreyu, IntCH Flora’s Bingo The Story Never Ends CAA DCAT FDC DEX2 DMA HDEA ASA FTR TKP ATT CGC ORT HSLI VLUI, was born in California and lives in Kentucky. He is descended from another one of the first Farmdogs brought to the US from Denmark. He loves to train and swim: dock diving, fast CAT, and scent sports are some of his favorite activities. He is confident, stable, and resilient, and he loves people and dogs. His go-with-the-flow attitude and love for cuddling (especially under the covers) make him a delightfully typical Farmdog. This will be his first litter.
The litter has not yet been confirmed yet, but may be due near the end of April. To express your interest in purchasing a puppy from this litter, fill out our Interest Form! Puppy homes will be chosen solely by the breeders based on many factors, but the primary factor is whether an individual puppy is the best fit for your home. A puppy is never guaranteed, and joining this list does not mean that one will become available for you, but your answers to these questions will help us know what the best fit will be!
